Position Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for aggressively
developing the business of Company by prospecting new customers and creating
mutually beneficial business opportunities. This role also delivers a
high level of service to our current customers by promoting the total Company’s
product offering to fulfill their needs. This position delivers the
highest quality customer care, in accordance with corporate objectives and
revenue goals.
Major Responsibilities:
- This is a "hunting" role that will actively seek new customers in the territory that will enable the company to secure a profitable business while maintaining and developing relationships with current customers.
- Attain
revenue targets per Business Plan.
- Promote
and sell Company’s Canada products and services to existing customers.
- Prepare
estimates and quote pricing, credit terms, warranties and delivery dates.
- Participate
in training sessions, trade shows and sales meetings as required.
- Create
and execute an AMP (Account Management Program) that ensures appropriate
sales coverage of all assigned accounts.
- Create
and execute a CSP (Core Supplier Plan) that will increase core supplier
product sales through account targeting and co-operative activities.
- Team
up with other sales specialists where appropriate in order to leverage
total solution capability.
- Ensure
compliance with company sales policy.
- Strive
for continuous growth and improvement.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Related
diploma/degree in a technical or business discipline.
- Three
years of relevant sales or industry experience.
- Must
have a passion for sales and a “hunter” mentality when driving new
business.
- Knowledge
of electrical wholesale industry is considered an asset.
- Exhibits
excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong
negotiating skills.
- Skilled
at assessing client needs, developing proposals and delivering
solutions.
- Knowledge
of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices and techniques.
- Able
to prioritize work and ability to be flexible and work independently.
- Ability
to write clear and concise value proposition statements.
- Consistently
able to meet deadlines competently and in a timely fashion.
- Possesses
strong relationship building skills to cultivate and develop customer
loyalty.
- Practice
excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven
proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word
and PowerPoint.
