Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Quotations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing accurate project quotations, reviewing specifications and drawings, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver timely, competitive proposals. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential to ensure high-quality customer service and successful project execution.


Major Responsibilities:

1. Prepare cost estimates of materials requested by customers as well as Account Managers, Customer Service Representatives and appropriate management.
2. Work with the Account Manager as needed to identify “value-add” options that could help in the bidding process.
3. Prepare customer presentations to upsell Company's Canada  Project Coordination capabilities where needed.
4. Compile bill of materials, utilizing knowledge of products to be manufactured.
5. Contact manufacturers, factories and representatives to obtain best-cost information when necessary.
6. Compute cost estimates for materials, price escalation and abnormal freight charges.
7. Compare manufacturer’s bill of material to determine and price any differences for complete comparisons.
8. Correlate all cost information within the time frame of bid date and time needed by contractors, sales personnel and appropriate management.
9. Prepare price quotations and perform other duties as assigned.
10. Handle incoming and outgoing customer telephone calls and written correspondence in a courteous, timely and professional manner.  
11. Coordinate the prompt handling of all customer service requests including, but not limited to, order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims.


    Preferred Skills & Experience:

    • 1. Minimum Grade 12 education; however, preference will be given to individuals with a technical or post-secondary education background (e.g. Electrical / Electronic Engineering Technologist) or equivalent industry experience.
    • 2. Knowledge of electrical products and applications preferred.
    • 3. The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers is essential.
    • 4. The ability to handle multiple projects with deadlines of varying urgency.
    • 5. Must exhibit excellent time management, negotiation and organizational skills.
    • 6. Attention to detail and project management skills are mandatory.
    • 7. Ability to prioritize work, be flexible and meet deadlines.
    • 8. Ability to work with all levels of employees and management, both internally and externally.
    • .9 Must practice excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • 10. Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
